Enterprise-grade IT,
built for SMBs

Most small and mid-sized businesses have never had their IT held to an enterprise standard. They get reactive support, generic advice, and a provider built for someone bigger. We have run technology at enterprise scale and for small business, so we know the gap - and we built Lucente to close it.

We invest the time to genuinely learn our customers’ businesses and operate as a true technology partner, keeping them up to date and helping them use technology to run the business better. Two questions most customers arrive with: “Can someone make our IT just work, and keep us safe?” and “Can technology actually help us run the business better?” We do both.

We are pragmatic and action-oriented. We enjoy working with organisations where we can have a real, measurable impact and move with speed.

Our Leadership

Brodie Raffaele

Founder

I started in IT over 25 years ago running my own IT business, helping small businesses with their technology, websites, and software development. That is where I learned what matters to business owners: things that work, people who show up, and advice you can actually trust.

From there, I worked at a number of large companies in Australia and internationally, with experience across a large number of regions and industries such as mining, construction, logistics, healthcare, defence, airports, education, and commercial property. I was a global executive at Honeywell (NASDAQ 100 technology company), and held CIO and CTO roles at ASX-listed national mining services firm Emeco Group. I designed and delivered new patented products, and built global ICT, cybersecurity, and integrated services practices from the ground up.

Through all of that, the thing that stuck with me is how difficult it was for small and medium businesses to keep up, and find good technology partners. Large enterprises have dedicated teams, structured security programs, and technology strategies tied to their business goals. SMBs, the businesses that employ most Australians and keep local economies running, are generally left to fend for themselves.

Lucente is a return to my roots. I founded this business to give WA small and mid-sized organisations a genuine, quality option for IT, cybersecurity, and technology support. Not a watered-down version of enterprise. The real thing, built for your scale and your budget. Clear advice, reliable support, and a team that genuinely cares about your business running well.

I am hands-on. When you work with Lucente, you get direct access to someone who wants to understand your environment, and backed by a team that knows how to deliver. That is not going to change as we grow.

Why Lucente

Six reasons businesses pick us - and stay.

Enterprise pedigree, SMB economics

25 years across ASX-listed groups, global tech firms, and small businesses. The thinking that runs large enterprises, sized and priced for yours.

Perth-headquartered, Western Australia focused

Australian-owned and Perth HQ. WA is our home market - we support customers across Perth and Western Australia, and extend the same team and standards to interstate operations where our WA customers need it.

Founder-led, hands-on team

Brodie is hands-on in the business day-to-day, working alongside a capable team that delivers to the same standard. You get senior experience and a responsive bench - not a one-person operation, and not a tiered call centre either.

We do the switch

Changing IT providers is the part most businesses dread. We run the handover - current provider, documentation, accounts, devices - and keep your business running while we do it.

AI-enabled, not AI-flavoured

We use AI inside our own delivery to spot issues sooner, write clearer documentation, and resolve tickets faster. Then we help you do the same in your business.

Technology partner, not a vendor

We invest the time to genuinely learn how your business operates: what is painful, what is growing, what is next, before we shape the technology around it. The work compounds because we are not starting from scratch every engagement.

The non-negotiables

How we work, and why

We are pragmatic and action-oriented - we enjoy working where we can have a real, measurable impact. The six rules below are how we operate every day. They matter to customers because they shape how we show up. They matter to our team because they decide who fits.

Say it plainly

If you cannot follow our explanation, we have not finished writing it. Jargon usually means someone does not understand the problem - or does not want you to. We will not do either.

Fit for purpose

A 20-person firm does not need an enterprise SIEM or a stack of Copilot licences nobody opens. We quote what you will actually use, flag what you do not need yet, and tell you when a cheaper option from another vendor is the better call - even if it shrinks our invoice.

We show up

Outages do not respect business hours. We answer, we respond, and when something needs hands on a desk, we turn up. Reliability shows in the bad weeks, not the good ones.

Get stuff done

We would rather ship a tidy 80% than promise a perfect 100% that never lands. Every engagement has a defined finish line, a handover document, and someone owning the last 10% so it does not quietly become your problem.

Learn the business first

We cannot recommend the right tech for a business we do not understand. Onboarding starts with how your team actually works - who does what, what is painful, what is growing - before we touch any configuration. The IT plan follows the business plan, not the other way around.

Good people, treated like adults

We hire experienced people across our team and we let them get on with it. No timesheet theatre, no performative busyness, no meetings about meetings. It shows in the work - and in the customers who stay with us.

How we onboard you

A structured process that gets your IT into a healthy, documented, and secure state from day one. Then a relationship that keeps it that way and keeps making it better.
