never misses a call

It knows your business, answers every call 24/7, asks the right questions, takes a clean message, then emails you a summary and texts the caller a confirmation. Step up to team-aware routing, calendar bookings, or full integration with the systems you already run.

The Challenge

An expert team can't be chained to the phone - but every unanswered call is a client who rings a competitor instead, and every answered call pulls an engineer out of deep work. For a lean managed-services business, both are expensive, and the numbers are brutal.

Calls don't wait for a free moment

Around 62% of business calls go unanswered, and after hours it approaches 100%. Every missed call is a lead, a client, or a problem that doesn't get smaller by being ignored.

Voicemail doesn't save the lead

About 80% of callers who reach voicemail hang up without leaving a message, and 85% never call back. In practice, "leave a message" means "lose the customer".

Your best callers call outside of 9-5

One in three calls happen before 9am, after 5pm, or on weekends, often the highest-intent ones, with a real and immediate need that can't wait for Monday.

Answering breaks deep work

It takes about 23 minutes to fully refocus after an interruption. For an engineering team, a handful of calls can quietly cost an hour of momentum, plus the errors that creep in.

The work after the call is its own tax

Manual message-taking and ticket logging is slow and lossy. Details get mis-heard, notes get lost, and tickets never get raised, so things fall through the cracks.

Speed decides who wins the job

Respond within five minutes and you're far more likely to win the lead; miss that window and roughly 78% go to whoever answered first.

How it works

Your AI receptionist answers the line 24/7, speaks naturally, understands what each caller needs, and acts on it - take a message, transfer, raise a ticket, send a summary - all without a human picking up. It isn't an off-the-shelf phone menu with "press 1 for sales". It's tailored to how you work, and on the Integrated plan it wires straight into the tools you already run on.

What it does on every call

Not a demo that talks - an AI that takes action. From "hello" to a logged ticket, every call is handled end to end.

Answers like a person, 24/7

Real-time voice with natural turn-taking, so callers just talk. It greets repeat callers by name, asks the right questions, and reads details back to confirm. No hold music, no menu trees, never closed.

Routes what's urgent

It tells a sales enquiry from a support issue, gauges the impact, and transfers business-critical calls straight to the on-call engineer in seconds. The right call reaches a human; nothing else interrupts one.

Takes a clean message

For everything that isn't urgent, it captures a structured message, name, callback number, company, and what they need, confirmed digit by digit, so nothing is mis-heard.

Raises a ticket automatically

The moment a call ends, it logs a ticket in the helpdesk with the full context, so the work is already in the system before anyone touches a keyboard.

Emails a summary, texts the caller

The right team gets a clean, branded email summary of the call with a full transcript, and the caller gets an SMS confirmation, so everyone knows it has been handled.

Remembers the caller

It recognises returning callers by number, recalls who they are and their recent context, and can pick up an existing ticket instead of starting from scratch.

The real power

Wired into everything you run

An AI that talks is a demo. An AI that's connected to your stack is a team member. Lucente's receptionist is built on best-in-class platforms and plugged directly into the systems the business already uses.

PSA · tickets Microsoft 365 / Graph · email Twilio · telephony OpenAI Realtime · voice Supabase · data & console

Unlimited integrations

If a third-party app has an API, the receptionist can use it. Helpdesk, CRM, email, calendars, messaging, billing - it isn't limited to a fixed list of "supported apps". We connect it to whatever your business already relies on.

Highly customisable

Greeting, persona and tone, the facts it's allowed to state, business hours and after-hours behaviour, how calls are routed, who urgent calls transfer to, blocklists and call controls - all configurable per business, no redeploy required.

Standard platform, custom when needed

You start on our standard platform with a module built for your industry. We're continually adding new product integrations and options, so what's available keeps growing over time - and where you need something specific, we can build custom integrations and call flows to fit.

If a third-party app has an API, the receptionist can use it.

Enterprise security, sized for the business

Microsoft 365 single sign-on

The management console is gated behind Microsoft 365 sign-in, governed by the same identity controls the business already manages.

Verified, signed webhooks

Every inbound call event is cryptographically verified before it's trusted, so only genuine traffic ever reaches the agent.

Constant-time secret checks

Keys and secrets are compared in constant time, closing off the timing side-channels that naive checks leave open.

Abuse & cost controls

Blocklists, rate limiting, and per-call length caps protect the line from spam and runaway cost, declined before the AI ever engages.

Full call log & transcripts

Every call is recorded as a structured record, outcome, transcript, and delivery status, giving a complete, queryable audit trail.

Hosted in Australia, fully managed

A Lucente-managed service running on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure (Cloudflare and Supabase), with data hosted in Australia. Each business's call data is isolated, not pooled into a shared black box.

What you get

Effective, without being tied to the phone. The line is always answered, the urgent always gets through, and the team gets its focus back.

Zero missed calls

Answered 24/7, including after-hours and overflow, the times the highest-intent leads actually call. The phone is never just ringing out.

The team stays in flow

No phone interruptions, so engineers stay on the deep work clients actually pay for, instead of losing 23 minutes of focus to every call.

Nothing falls through

Every call becomes a ticket, an emailed summary, and caller memory for next time. The follow-up work is done before anyone sits down.

Urgent reaches a human in seconds

Business-critical calls auto-transfer to the on-call person, no waiting, no voicemail, no "we'll get back to you".

Hours back, every week

Reception, message-taking, and ticket logging run themselves, instead of consuming a person's day in interruptions and admin.

Built once, fits forever

Custom-built with unlimited integrations means it adapts as the business changes, no rip-and-replace, no vendor lock-in.

"We built this for ourselves first. Now the phone is never unanswered, and the team isn't chained to it, they're doing the work our clients actually pay us for."

- Brodie Raffaele, Founder, Lucente

Common questions

Will callers know they're talking to AI?

It answers naturally and conversationally in your business's name. It can introduce itself as a virtual receptionist if you prefer - either way it's honest and never pretends to be a specific named person.

What happens with urgent calls?

On Plus and Integrated it can transfer or redirect urgent callers straight to the right person or team. On every plan, urgent calls are flagged in the emailed summary so nothing waits in a queue.

Is my data kept in Australia?

Yes. The service is hosted in Australia on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure, each business's call data is isolated rather than pooled, and the management console is gated behind Microsoft 365 sign-in.

Can it book appointments or update my systems?

Yes. Plus can book appointments straight into your calendar (Google or Outlook). Integrated goes further and connects to your booking, CRM, and service or ticketing systems so it can recognise callers, log the call, and book or raise work automatically. If a system has an API, the receptionist can use it.

Are there call or minute limits?

No. It's a flat monthly fee with unlimited calls answered, within a fair-use policy for very high volumes. The only usage cost is transferring callers to a human on Plus and Integrated, and we include $10/mo of that (about 30 to 50 transfers). Beyond that you only pay the actual call cost, at cost, with no markup.

What does it cost?

Simple flat monthly fees, ex GST: Standard $199, Plus $350, and Integrated $550 plus a scoped build from $1,500. One-off setup is $500 for Standard and $750 for Plus. There are no per-call or per-minute charges (fair use applies); Plus and Integrated include $10/mo of call-transfer costs, then actual cost at cost. For comparison, a full-time receptionist in Perth costs roughly $65,000 to $80,000 a year once you include super and leave.

How long does setup take, and what's involved?

One-off setup is $500 ex GST for Standard and $750 for Plus (Integrated is a scoped build). We design your call flow, load what the receptionist needs to know, configure routing, and test it with you before it goes live - usually within a week or two.
