Do we need an Essential Eight assessment first?

Not always. For most managed customers we deploy the baseline controls (MFA, endpoint protection, email security, patching, backups) as part of onboarding. A structured Essential Eight readiness engagement is useful when you have insurance, customer, or compliance pressure, or when you want a formal maturity target.

Will training my staff actually reduce risk?

Yes, if it is done well. Short, frequent training combined with phishing simulations measurably reduces click-through rates over time. The point is not to scare people; it is to make them confident at spotting and reporting suspicious activity.

What happens if an incident occurs?

We act fast: isolate affected accounts and devices, contain the spread, preserve evidence, work with you on customer and regulator notifications where required, and coordinate with insurance or third-party DFIR specialists if the incident warrants it.
