Common questions

How long does a Microsoft 365 migration take?

A typical Exchange to M365 migration for a 10 to 50 person business takes one to three weeks from scoping to go-live. Larger or more complex environments take longer. The cutover itself is usually completed during a low-traffic window with minimal disruption.

Will staff lose access to email during the migration?

No, if it is planned properly. We run email in parallel during migration and schedule the final cutover for a period of low activity. Staff typically experience a short reconfiguration window of under an hour.

What happens to existing emails and calendar items?

Everything migrates: emails, calendar items, contacts, and if required, archive or PST data. We validate mailboxes after migration and do not close the old environment until we are satisfied.

Can you manage our Microsoft 365 licences?

Yes. We can consolidate licensing through our Microsoft Partner agreement or work with your existing reseller. We do not mark up licences for managed IT customers.

Is ongoing M365 management included in Managed IT packages?

Yes. Microsoft 365 administration is part of both our Protect and Protect+ packages. This includes user management, licence reviews, MFA and security policy management, and SharePoint and Teams support.
