Construction, civil works, and trades
IT that keeps up with
construction and civil works.
Your business runs across job sites, the yard, and the office at the same time. Drawings change, crews move, and a tender deadline does not care that a server is down. We keep the technology behind all of it reliable, and when a spreadsheet has run out of road, we can build something that actually fits the work.
What we see
The real problems on the ground
Your crews and supervisors are spread across sites, and connectivity out there is whatever the location gives you. A phone that works fine in the office can crawl on a remote job, so dockets, photos, and forms sit on devices waiting for signal, and the office is working off yesterday’s picture instead of today’s.
That is the office-to-site gap, and it costs you twice: once when site does not know what the office decided, and again when the office cannot see what actually happened on site. Document control makes it worse. Drawings, variations, and dockets end up living in email threads and a shared drive, so the question becomes which version is current, and who has the latest set. On a project with revisions, that question is expensive.
Tender deadlines do not move. When a submission is due, the office cannot afford a server outage, a mailbox that has filled up, or a file that will not open. The work is done, but the technology stands between you and lodging it on time.
And underneath it, plant and job scheduling often runs on a spreadsheet that one person built and only that person fully understands. It works until they are on leave, or until two crews get booked on the same machine, or until the file gets too big to trust. The business is running on something fragile that nobody else can pick up.
How we help
Where our services meet those problems
Four areas, mapped to how a construction and civil business actually runs.
Managed IT
We set up Microsoft 365 with SharePoint document control, so drawings, variations, and dockets have one current home with proper version history instead of living in email. We manage devices for both the site and the office, so a phone in the field and a workstation in the yard are looked after by the same team.
Cybersecurity
We align your environment to the Essential Eight, which is increasingly demanded in tier-1 tender prequalification. Getting it in place before a head contractor asks means you are not scrambling to meet a security requirement in the middle of a bid.
IT Projects
Site connectivity, office moves as you grow, and migrations off ageing servers are run as scoped projects with a defined finish line. You get a documented handover, so the new setup does not become a loose end someone has to chase later.
AI Enablement & Purpose-Built Software
We have designed and built purpose-built software for this industry. One recent build replaced a fragile shared spreadsheet with a real-time works management platform: live job scheduling, crew and plant allocation, and an analytics dashboard the whole business runs from. When a spreadsheet has reached its limit, this is the alternative.
Which package fits
A plan that handles a mixed office and field workforce
Construction and civil businesses rarely have one type of user, so we do not price them as if they do. Your office and project staff, the people in email all day with full devices and documents, sit on a managed plan: Protect at $105 per user per month, or Protect+ at $150 per user per month, both ex GST. Protect covers monitoring, helpdesk, endpoint security, identity, Microsoft 365 management, and Essential Eight alignment. Protect+ adds unlimited support hours and advanced threat protection.
Field staff who just need email and dockets on a phone do not need a full managed seat. For them we offer an email-only user from $50 per month, so you are not paying office rates for someone whose IT footprint is a mailbox and a couple of apps.
We will work out the mix with you rather than round the whole headcount up to one plan. The point is to match the cost to how each person actually works.
Compare packagesCommon questions
Can you support staff out on job sites?
Yes. Support is remote-first, so a supervisor on site reaches the same team as someone in the office. We also set up and manage devices built for the field, so the phones and tablets your crews carry are configured, secured, and supported the same way as your office gear, not left to fend for themselves.
Do we need fancy software to fix our scheduling chaos?
Not always, and we will tell you honestly. Sometimes a properly set up SharePoint with the right structure and permissions is enough to get document control and basic scheduling under control. Sometimes the problem is big enough that purpose-built software is justified, and we have built exactly that for this industry. We tell you which one your situation needs rather than selling you the bigger job by default.
What about tenders asking for cyber accreditation?
Head contractors and government work increasingly ask for evidence of security maturity in prequalification. We run Essential Eight readiness work to get the controls in place and documented, so when a tender asks the question you have an answer ready instead of a gap. See our Essential Eight readiness page for how that works.
Can you handle a server that is on its last legs?
Yes. An ageing on-prem server holding your drawings and project files is a tender deadline waiting to go wrong. We scope and run the move to Microsoft 365 and SharePoint as a project with a defined finish line, so document control improves and the single point of failure is removed without disrupting live jobs.
We are opening a second yard or office. Can you set it up?
Yes. New site connectivity, network, and devices are run as a project: we scope what the location needs, get it connected and secured, and hand it over documented. Because your files and identity already live on Microsoft 365, staff at the new location get the same setup as everyone else from day one.
