A Western Australian civil construction group ran its whole job, crew and machine schedule on a shared spreadsheet, and it was holding the business back as it grew. We designed and built a web application from the ground up: a real-time works management platform that the whole team uses at once.
We did the architecture, security design and development, with Claude Code speeding up the build. The customer was steering a working prototype within the first weeks, and the full platform went live in four.

When should we build custom software instead of buying off-the-shelf?

Under our standard terms, once the build is paid for you have a licence to use the software for your business, and your data is always yours. Ownership is discussed and agreed for each engagement.

Do we need to be on Protect+?
Yes. Purpose-Built Software is a paid add-on for Protect+ customers, because the software relies on identities, security and backups that we manage. If you're not a customer yet, we scope Protect+ and the build together, so you see both before committing to either. If you have 10 or more people and are growing, or a big appetite for technology such as AI Enablement or Purpose-Built Software, get in touch and we may still be able to help.
